It was hilarious!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Word of mouth\u00a0marketing is free\u2026. just one reason it&#8217;s so valuable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listeners trust their friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Word of Mouth marketing is not\njust an ad \u2026it also contains a recommendation from a trusted source.&nbsp; Another reason it\u2019s so valuable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According\nto a Nielsen study, 92% of consumers said that they believe suggestions from\nfriends and family more than they do advertising or promotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of\ncourse it can cut both ways. Just as a terrible dining experience can create\nnegative Word of Mouth marketing for a restaurant so too can a particularly\ndreadful debut for a new morning show or a poorly executed major format shift\nresult in bad Word of Mouth Marketing for a radio station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nBPR\u2019s Strategic studies, we examine how likely the listeners are to tell their\nfriends about certain radio stations. The P1 scores are particularly\ninteresting. In a recent study, a client station had a P1 score of 75% for the\nquestion\u2026. a direct competitor scored 36% from its own &nbsp;P1\u2019s. Only 36% of the station\u2019s P1\u2019s said they\nWould Tell Their Friends About the Station!
