Between January\nand June, there were 114,565 different songs played over 2.3 million times on\nAustralian radio according to a report from <strong>AirCheck Australia<\/strong>.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Weeknd\u2019s \u2018Blinding Lights\u2019 was the most played song for the first\nhalf of the year, amassing <strong>19,584<\/strong> spins across <strong>31<\/strong> stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AirCheck Client Services Executive, <strong>Riarne Gale<\/strong> <em>said \u201cThis\ncomes as no surprise as the track spent a massive 14 weeks at the top of our\nNational Radio Airplay Chart between February and May, 13 of which were\nconsecutive\u201d.<\/em><br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nThe <strong>Nova<\/strong> network championed the track, spinning it more than any other\nstation and accounting for almost 30% of the song\u2019s airplay during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dua Lipa\u2019s \u2018Don\u2019t Start Now\u2019 followed with 16,077 instances spread\nacross 30 stations. Dua Lipa was also the most played artist on Australian\nradio for the first half of the year, with a grand total of 36,958 songs\nplayed, including features, remixes and live recordings. Her other releases\nthis year, Physical (11,266 spins) and Break My Heart (6,958) helped push the\nartist ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of nine Australian acts made the list, with Tones &amp; I earning three spots in the Top 50 \u2013 \u2018Never Seen The Rain\u2019 (No.8), \u2018Bad Child\u2019 (No.21) and \u2018Dance Monkey\u2019 (No.39).
