The logo forms part of a larger project underway to rebrand Australia and promote the nation overseas.<\/p>\n<p>The project was led by Australia\u2019s Nation Brand Advisory Council; according to the Federal government, this is a group comprised of \u201csome of Australia\u2019s brightest business minds\u201d from the private and public sectors.<\/p>\n<p>At a cost to the Australian taxpayer of AUD $10 million the logo is made up of a symbolic gold representation of a wattle with the letters \u2018AU\u2019 in the centre\u2026..the problem is it looks likes a graphical representation of the COVID-19 virus!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-2444\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bprworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/graph.jpg?resize=264%2C149\" alt=\"\" width=\"264\" height=\"149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bprworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/graph.jpg?resize=300%2C169 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bprworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/graph.jpg?resize=1024%2C576 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bprworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/graph.jpg?resize=768%2C432 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bprworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/graph.jpg?w=1162 1162w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yes\u2026timing is everything.<\/p>\n<p>In radio terms, a great logo grabs the audience\u2019s attention, makes a strong first impression to a new listener, encapsulates your brand identity, is memorable and importantly, separates you from the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Look we all know that listeners don\u2019t tune into a station JUST because it has a great logo\u2026\u2026. but the logo MUST support the brand proposition; if you\u2019re trying to be the cool station in town\u2026\u2026your logo better look cool.<\/p>\n<p>Radio programmers and marketers understand the importance of creating a unified brand to manage perception, demonstrate values and build reputation. Simultaneously we understand the challenges of creating a logo and brand identity that is not only appealing to the audience but says something positive to them\u2026.and reflects your brand image.<\/p>\n<p>Given the impact of COVID-19, focus groups won\u2019t be with us for the foreseeable future.
