It is not unusual for them to check their smart phones more than 30 times per day. Here are some of the amazing statistics from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commscope.com\">CommScope<\/a> study:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Frequency plays a key role in how Gen Z operates. Their phone is their primary device, and has become an extension of themselves. On average, Gen Z checks their smartphones every three minutes, although a quarter check every two minutes or more. Furthermore, 70 percent of Gen Zers that check their phones 30+ times an hour are 18-22. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>From a global perspective, Tokyo has the highest percentage of Gen Zers who check their phones more than 30 times per hour. Bangalore has the highest percentage of those who check their phones fewer than 30 times per hour. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Is this merely an American or Western European phenomenon?\u00a0 Hardly.
